I have been here several times now and I enjoy each trip immensely. This is truly a mini tropical escape that pulls you out of the winter doldrums. The butterflies are absolutely beautiful and are all around you so you get a true up close and personal experience. The lush greenery, colorful plants, and pond, complete with huge tropical fish, all add to this wonderful experience. The educational displays are like non other I have seen and most have live inhabitants so you can see how each species exists in its unique habitat. This place is also wonderful to visit in summer, as you have the addition of some beautiful outdoor gardens.

We took our two year old niece here for a special visit and it was absolutely splendid. The staff inside the actual conservatory was very kind and generous. A gentleman staff member took out one of the lizards to show our niece, which she was even allowed to gently touch. The butterflies were spectacular and the collection of reptiles was very impressive. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

great fun, beautiful colors, very friendly staff! Grandkids love the birds, butterflies, fish and reptiles. Also the french fries!! Lots of opportunities for photo ops and a fun giftshop.

I've been here once before and love the tropical feel. Sometimes the butterflies don't get very close but it's very relaxing to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

We went here on a winter day when we wanted to get out of the house.A really good idea.It is a cool way to spend some time with some really interesting surroundings.Pretty warm in the room,so make sure you have some light clothes to wear.A variety of butterflies flying freely in the butterfly room. Some eventually landed on us,and it was a fun time for both of us.It's so refreshing to see childrens eyes light up as they watch hundreds of butterflies flying around and landing everywhere A tip for people who have never been there.lotions or perfumes that smell like flowers will coax butterflies to land on you..

Four thousand exotic and domestic butterflies, eight thousand sq. ft. tropical environment. My first time there, upon walking into the butterfly area. One flew past my face about less than a foot away. I had no problems with the staff. Day I went, I wore a teal-blue shirt, a Blue Morpho landed on my shirt and stayed on me almost one hour. It's is not encouraged to stick your finger out for them to land on. Their wings are like shingles on a house (layered), touching the wing itself damages it.

A little more expensive than I had hoped, but my kids, my sister and my mother all enjoyed this place. There are a ton of butterflies, a handful of birds, and a bunch of lizards to look at. The staff brought a couple of animals to hold or touch, which the kids liked. It was nice to sit in the warmth on a bench and to watch and wait ..... We spent a little over 2 hours here, including lunch at the food court, which had acceptable basic choices (chip fingers, hot dog, cheeseburger, etc). There is a coat room, suggest you wear layers that you can hang up, so you won't be too warm inside.

Several friends and I visited and we were amazed! It was definitely worth the trip. There were thousands of butterfly's flying through an open area with you. Some even landed on people. If you're. Close by take the time to visit. You won't be disappointed. We rode 3 hours on a bike and were happy we did.

Problem is the staff. ! Rude staff. Beauty of butterfly and atmosphere is ruined by few arrogant people working inside conservatory.

This is the third time I have been here over the years and it is still a very pretty place. I have been to many butterfly conservatories at zoos and museums but this has the best variety of butterflies and the largest number.Snack bar has soft ice cream all year - watch out because a small is HUGE and not very costly. Restaurant looks decent, wish we had eaten lunch there because the "lobster BLT" sounded intriguing. Educational, and really in its own way one of a kind, especially in the area.

This is a great place to visit to experience something you likely wouldn't be able to elsewhere. Having butterflies fly all around is an experience you won't forget. You pay at the counter ($14 a person), and then you go in a room where they have tanks with frogs and lizards, and other interesting creatures. They are well marked and informative. From there you go into the conservatory where you will be wowwed by the butterflies. The room has paths every which way to walk among the vegetation and butterflies, as well as many benches to sit on to just observe and relax. The room is quite warm and the butterflies are everywhere and fly all around you, while relaxing music plays in the background. It is a unique and fun experience and definitely worth experiencing. We also ate at the restaurant, and that wasn't too bad either. Regardless if you are in the area and need a unique place to stop, this is it.

I have visited this amazing place twice, and will go again the next time I'm in the area. The tropical climate makes it like a mini vacation, especially in the winter! A tranqiul oasis, well worth a visit.

I just love this place! It is spacious and expansive with tropical foliage and many butterflies. At one time I had six butterflies on me! I found out a secret - that butterflies are attracted to "paba" that is in hand and body creams. It's the ingredient that I understand is not good for humans, but it does attract butterflies.

What a wonderful, warm place to visit. Lots of beautiful butterflies. Great display of the way caterpillars become butterflies. Nice gift shop and eatery.

Magic Wings is a tropical treat; hundreds of gorgeous butterflies, cool lizards, tropical birds flying freely, turtles, giant goldfish in a pond, and a very knowledgable staff. Well worth going out of your way to see!
