Love the ambiance, comfortable set up, talented performers. Very well organized and advertized! I have been happy to introduce several friends to this venue and for the under $20 ticket price, it is a complete steal!

we saw Southern Rail We have seen them before and they were better. Given that their regular banjo player was in the hospital with heart surgery and the replacement was only with the group for a bit under 2 weeks I would cut them some slack. Their mandolin player was also a replacement but was with them for nearly a year. He also was not as good as the regular mandolin player. The result was a bit of lack of good interaction between band members. The Linden Tree is a fine place for live music. The coffeehouse seating downstairs is good for smaller crowds and they open up the church hall upstairs for concert seating. Homemade snacks and coffee are served before and between sets and nominal prices. Admission price is appropriate for the performer. In this particular case, the performer supplied their own sound and lighting equipment so that was fine. They have one show a month in the Unitarian Universalist Church in Wakefield. The staff is very friendly (all volunteers). This coffeehouse books only local area acts as they could not afford national acts.
