Nice little Café on the grounds to grab a bite while visiting the 4 museums. Great way to spend a day. Got lucky & found a Groupon & saved some cash!

We who live in this area tend to take The Quadrangle for granted. It is just a wonderful place to visit yourself or with family, especially young children. The Art Museum is beautiful with new exhibits coming and going all the time. The newest addition, the Museum of Springfield History is filled with wonderful nostalgia. The is now an excellent small restaurant for lunch as well.

Visited the Springfield Museums of Science and Fine Arts with my daughter's class Field Trip today; would recommend to adults and families. Plan to visit both of these if you visit the museums and enjoy the Dr. Seuss sculpture garden.Highlights of our visit were the Impressionist Room inside the Fine Arts Museum and the "Animal Secrets" Exhibit inside the Science Museum. "Animal Secrets" just began and is running through May 2015, this was my daughter's favorite area, well-designed with interactive/tactile activities that effectively engage young children.Great way to spend a winter day!

My daughter and I stopped here while in town to visit colleges. This is a great little museum and their outside Dr Seuss garden is fantastic. Some beautiful sculptures that catch the flavor and whimsy of Ted Geisel's creations. There was a special exhibit about leather jackets through time which was very informative and interesting. Highly recommend!

Our visits there have been great, for the most part. We've gone to almost every museum at the complex and there's so much variety. We've hit Springfield Jewery and Tornado special exhibits but the Indian motorcycles are always fun to see. The Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden is surprisingly fun. I like Horton! The Lorax looks grumpy and condescending, in my opinion. I've written another review on the Smith Art Museum so I won't repeat that; and I'll write something on the MFA soon. For the Science Museum...I haven't been impressed with its special exhibits so far. Maybe if I were very young (?).

We met our children and grandchildren(from Boston area). We did not really know what to expect. As soon as the kids arrived, they saw the statues of the Dr Seuss characters and were off and running. It was uphill from there. They were interested in the dinosours, the science exhibits, the aquarium, the animals and the Hasbro toy exhibits. We thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits as well (vintage cars, Indian Motorcycles, ++). The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a cafe next door on the quadrangle and it enough variety (& quality) to keep eveyone happy.

The Springfield Museums are made up of two art, one science and one history museum. One admission price gets you into all four places. The history museum does a pleasant job of covering Springfield's history. Yet it doesn't delve much into what might be considered controversial events, such as "Hay's Rebellion." The science museum is a good place to give children an introduction to science museums. The art museums don't compete with larger museums in larger cities with the amount of art they have. YET, the collection is very interesting and presented well. Also, the collection of the two art museums combined is pleasantly varied.

Years ago I visited a quirky little museum run by Esta Manthos which honored the Indian Motocycle which was manufactured in Springfield. And yes, that is how Indian spelled "motorcycle".Indian is a famous brand that lead, competed with, beat and rivaled Harley until Indian went under by 1953/55. Several resurrections have been done and the current one seems to be "taking" although there has been much litigation and tomfoolery over the rise of this great brand. Still, it isn't the original.Esta was a character and ran her little museum her way with her opinion. But it had great stuff. With her demise and its closure it is great to see that Springfield still honors Indian and Esta with an exhibit within its greater museums.Well worth it for every student of American history, industry or motorcyclist. Great place to stop and soak it in.

This area is the only place that is nice in this part of Springfield. It's unfortunate, that this city is in such bad shape. They need a casino soon- or this city will turn into Detroit, MI

We enjoyed the art museum, the autos, fire equipment, police vehicles, the motorcycles. We had the impression the dinosaur exhibit had animatronics. We were disappointed that it did not. Also, there were few dinosaurs to be found. Still, we spent an enjoyable afternoon. The Outdoor Dr. Seuss exhibit was delightful!

Great variety of things to enjoy!! Outdoor Dr. Seuss exhibit. Hands on craft area in one of the art museums. Milton Bradley play area in the history museum. Dinosaurs in the science museum! What more can you ask for??! Of course mixed in all sorts of history and art for the parents to enjoy too!!

Museums do not change very often, every couple of years is enough, extra visiting attractions are expensive.

I am so happy we went to the Springfield Museums. We had a wonderful day and it is a great value for all museums. Don't miss the extra Dinosaurs exhibit. It is an extra $5 but worth it made me feel like a kid again. It has such a great mix of things. Just a taste of each everything which really made it interesting and not boring for my teenage son. It was a pleasure to take our time and enjoy the exhibits without the crowds. We had recently went to the Washington DC museums and often had to stand behind several people while viewing. It you are in Springfield don't miss this we were glad we didn't! It was a day well spent. There is a AAA discount just ask.

We were staying close by for an out of town wedding and had made a weekend out of it. My husband and I grew up with Dr. Seuss and wanted to check out the memorial park. We bought a pass for all 4 museums. We had a great time walking around checking out all the attractions. Definitely worth the trip.

We did not have time to get to all museums. What we saw was interesting & informative, without being too much!
