Lovely drive with quick hikes and observation areas. This is a one way loop so make sure to stop when you see something. There is an observation and hiking area as soon as you enter the loop- don't miss it!

Pals were visiting for the weekend and we decide to kayak. Our friends each rented a very nice 14ft kayak for fours hours. They tracked well and the paddles were light. We brought our own. Jennifer was great. She is very upbeat and enthusiastic and couldn't be more helpful or nicer. She even pulled my kayak onto land so I wouldn't have to step out in the water. We will bring all our kayaking guests here.

I've never written a review for anything before but these people were the nicest group and I just had to comment. We rented two kayaks and took them out for an hour. We took their advice on what type of kayak to use and we were very pleased with how easy it was to maneuver them all around the river. The staff were very people-friendly and extremely helpful. I must commend Katie for her attention--I lost my keys while I was there and she even went back after they were closed to try to find them for me! Since it was Saturday and they would be closed on Sunday she checked inside at the desk and looked around where I was parked. Even though she couldn't find them I was so touched by her kindness. (I found them the next day in the grass). Don't hesitate to try out this company and see the beautiful wildlife.

We could NOT have been more pleased with this company. We called on a Saturday am to reserve 5 bikes (2 adults, 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 7) and they accommodated us right away that very morning. Susan and Kasey (owner and her daughter) were so friendly and cheerful. Got us set up on our bikes for the day, let us park them midday to head to Kay's for lunch (YUM!), then went back for a few more hours. We toured the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge for hours and got a lot of exercise. Helmet, map and a cold bottle of water are all part of the rental, too. Can't wait to go back when it is a bit warmer and use their kayaks. Thanks, ladies!!

Made reservations for a Saturday paddle - easy to find location, totally friendly and very helpful staff got us in the water and showed us where to spot nesting eagles. Paddled around at our own pace for 2hrs enjoying peace and quiet on the river - with an upclose view of herons, jumping fish and eagles flying overhead. Recommend it!

Susan, our guide was great! She introduced us to paddling the Blackwater River and made the river, it's history and wildlife come alive. She made sure we were comfortable in our kayaks so that we felt safe and sound. We will be coming back.
