somers cove marina

On a boat trip to Crisfield MD over the weekend we stayed a Somers Cove Marina overnight. The male staff were very polite. On our return trip we developed engine trouble, impeller on water pump, and were towed by USCG back to Somers Cove. On Sunday there are no businesses open except restaurants. The staff stated I could tie my boat up at the end of the "T" dock and stay there as long as it takes to fix your boat.Also, a person stated that "we don't charge for dockage fees due to breakdowns" I called every day to keep the marina informed of repairs and when completed get my boat. On Sept. 25, 2014. In short they charged me for every day that my boat was "broke down" I will NEVER go there again, BEWARE. Capt. Rick DeVivi "First Light"

This is a large marina with excellent facilities and a location very close to town. The staff is very friendly and helpful in getting you anything you need.

The marina is large and well maintained with plenty of dockage and parking for visitors. The pool is large and it and the bathhouses are always very well kept. Labor Day weekend it is the site of the town's Crab Derby and festival, which is small town fun at its best. The marina should consider renting bikes to make it easier for boaters to get the local restaurants and downtown. Also an ATM would be a good idea as there isn't one within walkig distance of the marina. THen there is the fact that it is located adjacent to the crime-ridden public housing projects. A BIG fence separates the projects from the marina, but the sights and sounds are off-putting.

We stopped the for the July 4 festivities. It seems like a very nice marina. Nice pool, nice clean restrooms and showers. The entertainment was enjoyable and fireworks grand.Even with this large event there was ample parking.If you are a local boater or in the area I believe it would be worth looking at.

I have been going to Somers Cove Marina for years. The bathrooms are always clean, the service is good and we love the pool when we get a chance to use it. Some of the new floating piers are really nice. We always love our week at the marina.

Maryland State owned marina that had it right! Everything a marina should be....we love it here. Pool, playground, huge fuel docks, security, ....great boaters and very kind dock hands.

Clean, tons of fun people and within walking distance to everything. Plus, the seafood and festivals are always great.
