blue goose fruit market & bakery

Impressive on the outside, but less than ordinary on the inside. Is it a fruit market, is it a grocery store, Just not sure!

This used to be a local orchard .. now it is just like a million other roadside tourist lures ... yes, the pies are good. But all of the other stuff is made in China or comes from somewhere else ... nothing local here anymore. I stopped once after this place re-opened; will not stop again.

We travel through Hancock at least once a year and always stop at the Blue Goose. Pies are baked on the premises and are the best I've eaten anywhere. Personal favorite: Peach Berry. Additionally, they have all sorts of fresh fruit, salsa, jellies, other baked goods, canned (as in, glass jars) goods, gourmet soft drinks and ciders and recently added a micro-brew beer and wine area. There's also a seasonal gift shop. Don't trust me enough to buy a whole pie? You can get them by the slice also. The store is always incredibly clean and the staff pleasant.

This place is very unique with lots of baked goods, drinks, gifts, salsas, hot sauces and more. We came here after walking the Western Maryland Rail Trail and loved it. It is also very convenient for travelers because it is located right off of I-70. Definitely Will Go Back!
