the tasting room wine bar & shop

We happen to explore the area on a whim. The weather was nice and a glass of wine was the best part of my day. We enjoyed the chocolate tuxedo cake, and some wine. The chocolate tuxedo cake was moist, fresh, and a perfect portion for two people. A must for any sweet tooth moment. The inside of the tasting bar was very elegant, but chilly with the air conditioning. so bring a jacket if it's the summer time.I got the #20 on the wine list which is the jar jar sweet shiraz. It's a good shiraz if you like a bit of sweet and red wine. I've never had a sweet shiraz before and loved it. I felt it wasn't very overwhelming, which made it all the better.If you buy wine to go after dining there it's only 22.00 a bottle for most. That price is going to be 33.00 if you come in and get it to go. It's kind of a trap if you don't want anything but you can make a trip out of it. Overall, It's a nice place and much better of a deal compared to other places while dining.

Visited National Harbor for our anniversary and stopped in here on a stroll. Very neat place tucked in a corner. Decent view from inside and even better from the patio (though we didn't sit outside due to the heat). Wine list is quite extensive, both by the glass and bottle, and the menu was quite good, consisting mostly of small bites as one would expect. Only complaint was the service was less than attentive. Less than ten customers in house at the time and two servers working but took inordinately long to take our order and never even gave us a chance at food. Had to ask to get our check so we could leave. Place was nice but experience could be markedly improved with better service.

Not like anything I've seen before! Build your own flight and auto dispensers!really cool. Patio seating for an awesome view of the harbor. Had the cheese plate - yummy! Everything I wanted out of a good wine bar!

This is a wonderful little wine bar and tasting room. I chose to order a regular serving of wine at the bar, but customers can also get a wine glass and a card that enables them to sample a number of wines at tasting places in the room. The card is used to purchase tastes in varying amounts. the purchases are totaled when you turn in the card. Also available are cheese plates and other offerings to go with the wines. I had salmon on cucumber rounds, and it was delicious. There is a view of the harbor from the windows. A few meals are also offered on a small menu. It is definitely worth a visit.
