Loved seeing all the unique artwork! We really loved the Angry Woebots Panda paintings and the munny display.

I've been checking out the monthly openings at Art Whino since it opened in another location five or six years ago because I was intrigued by the art styles featured there. I always thought of art galleries as stuffy, upper-crusty places, but Whino showed me it does not have to be that way. The art style has been described as "lowbrow," but I call it eclectic and done in and on a broad range of media. I recommend checking out the website to see what I mean and see when the next opening is scheduled. Openings feature music - sometimes live, sometimes by DJ - but usually cool, and drinks and light snacks are available.National Harbor is not accessible very easily by mass transit. Best bet is car, or during warm weather, the water taxi from Old Town Alexandria is nice. There are restaurants in the area, as well, if you want to make a night of it.
