Lovely neighborhood with old and well preserved houses. There are several walking tours with some interesting historic info. Namely the one about African American heritage.

great stop to learn about this suburb adjacent to washington d.c.rockville is the county seat and there are many volunteer historians who have done a great job preserving and presenting the history of the county. the county settlement history goes back to colonial times, through the civil war up to the present with the history of certain farm tracts that have become large subdivisions. worth a stop just off 270 if you have an extra hour or two on your travels. not far from varied and good restaurants if you want to eat as well.

Neat place to visit for short trip and visit to Rockville Town Square within walking distance. Stonestreet Museum is great for field trip. Kids loved it.
