My grand daughter & I have been taking lessons and riding 9 years at local barns.Holly ridge is the best we have found, and we have both taken lessons and done trail rides at Holly Ridge for the past 7 years. Anne & her daughter Margo are caring, patient, and safety conscious. The trails are unique to this area because they are through a mature woods on gently rolling farm land bordered by a stream. The arena is clean and well kept, horses are gentle and well matched to the rider.You won't find another place like it within 75 miles of Ocean City Maryland.

Our instructor was friendly and gave us a pre-riding lesson with a horse mannequin. The ride was on a shaded, wooded trail. However, it was quite difficult to hear our instructor talk about the trail while riding. It was a nice touch that the instructor offered to take our picture on the horses after the ride.

My daughter and I were going to Ocean city for a few days and thought it would be fun to take a trail ride. I emailed Holly Ridge Farm about a week before we left for the trip. They replied and said they needed at least a 24 hr. notice and to call them. I called on a Friday morning and got a recording saying they were out on a ride, to leave your name, number and reference and they would call back. I said we wanted to do a trail ride on Sat. and that anytime that day would be good for us. They NEVER called back, never left a message, nothing!! So disappointing!!!

I first met Anne Luke in 2002. I was looking for a riding instructor for a friend's daughter's first equine experience. Holly Ridge Farm Equestrian Center's name was given to me by three different sources, as I queried local Equine related organizations. What struck me about Ms. Luke and Holly Ridge was that "safety" was their first, second and third priorities. Safety for the Riders/Students....Safety for the Horses....Safety for the experience. If I were a parent, Holly Ridge and Anne Luke, along with her staff, would be my choice for my child's equine experience. In 2004 I purchased my first horse, and chose Holly Ridge as my boarding facility. I then purchased two more horses from "Miss Anne". A mustang mare and an Appaloosa gelding. I now keep my "Young Ones" at home with me, but I consider her and her daughter Margo Luke, both certified instructors, as my "Horse Mentors". They are always ready to answer any question I may have. In satisfying any of your "Horsey needs"...you won't be disappointed in the knowledge, support and atmosphere you find at Holly Ridge Farm Equestrian Center. Good Luck and Enjoy...!!!

this place was great. They worked with our 3 grandchildren from grooming to riding skills. never pushed the children and let them proceed at thier comfort level. Had a great attitude with the children and the animals. the horses were great calm and well behaved.

Anne runs a nice center. She's very concerned with the upkeep of the place and has all of her licenses in order. Her staff is great also. Very nice facitities!

The horseback trail ride was one of the highlights of my family's OC vacation this year. The owners (in particular Anne and Margo) were extremely kind, patient, knowledgeable, and funny. We had such a good time, laughing, talking, riding. They are very serious about safety and caring for the horses and they made us feel so comfortable and welcome. We were able to schedule a trail ride solely for our group. The introductory session to learn about mounting, dismounting, riding, and controlling our horse was helpful. They also took care to match each of us and our riding level with the personality and breed of horse. This was just such a wonderful and different thing to do while visiting the beach! Tip: must pay by cash or check!

I enjoyed my time at Holly Ridge Farm and I can't wait to visit them again. I think every family should visit here at least once in their lifetime.

My little Girl LOVES this Farm. She is a 7 year old that has learned to groom and tack a pony up. She rides in the large indoor ARENA and on Trail Rides. I know my daughter is SAFE on this farm. She gets one on one lessons and small group play time. Her #1 thing is to have the pony kick the ball around and trot. The bonus is the mini horses, donkey, and dogs. They are all loveable. We are looking forward to summer CAMP.
