First time horse riding, complete novices so quiet nervous but Helena was reassuring both during booking process and on the day. Everything was provided ie hats. Opted for the sunrise ocean ride. We were picked up prompt by Helena herself from our hotel and taken to the stables. Everyone was very friendly, no lockers but didn't have anything valuable with us anyway, were allowed to leave bags in the office. We were given a brief and helped onto our horses which were then led off by the stable hands. Was a fantastic experience esp when we got to the water. Only downside was that the stable hands didn't quite understand English so I wasn't able to communicate when I felt scared or wanted to trot faster. We were allowed to feed the horses upon our return. At the end Helena dropped us back to the hotel. Professional and easy. Would highly recommend

We went on a 2 hour sunset ride last week on our first time in Egypt. It was the first time on a horse for many years and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I have always wanted to ride on a beach and was not disappointed. I rode a mare called Carmella and my husband rode a stallion called Balel. Both horses was lovely and our guide Ahmed controlled them with his voice, All the horses are very well cared for and very much loved by the staff. A big thank you to Helena and Ahmed that looked after us and made us feel very welcomed. A great day and I would recommend this stable and would return again.

My partner & i visited the stables for my birthday & it's a day i will never forget, Helene arranged everything from the taxi that collected us at our hotel to a beautiful authentic Egyptian lunch in a bedouin tent followed by a desert ride. I can't speak highly enough about our experience, we were made to feel so at home & welcome. Our guide Abdul was brilliant, took brilliant care of my non riding other half & talked throughout our ride telling us about the bedouin people we saw aswell as taking a genuine interest in us & my horses back home. We're hoping to return to Sharm this year & we'll definitely be back to see Helene. Ann-Marie, Abdul and the other grooms/guides. If you have any doubts about visiting mangroovy horses don't as you're missing out on a great experience if you don't do it

Did the 2 hour private sunrise ride along the beach with my husband & 13 year old stepson, can't recommend the experience highly enough! My husband was quiet nervous about the horse riding, but I have to say that the staff at the stables chose the perfect horses to suit all of our levels of riding experience. We had two guides throughout the whole ride who were both excellent at giving tips & advice on riding, nothing was too much trouble. (Hats & leg protection were also provided)All of the horses that we saw at the stables were immaculately kept. If I am in Sharm again I will definently be booking up to go again!Just alittle tip, we took apples along to fed to the horses after our ride which they really seemed to appreciate!

Having not rode a horse in many years Mangroovy Horses was a great find in Nabq which gave me the opportunity to get back in the saddle again! They are really friendly people who genuinely care for their horses and we had a lovely ride out. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a ride whilst there.

Wow what a trip. Went with my mam (an experienced horse rider) and my step dad who like me had very limited experience on horses. The horses were beautiful and very well kept, the staff I could not fault at all. Booking was very easy as I just emailed Helena and she got it booked for us within 10 minutes. If only we went in our first week we would have went again in the second week we enjoyed it that much. Thank you for making our holiday perfect. What a way to start 2015. Can't wait to come back next year for a 3 hour trip round the mountains. Everyone has to try this place!!!!

Fantastic 2 hour ride with individual guides (my partner is very experienced and rode Dream. On the rein and walking for me while he galloped off into the distance). My guide (Mohamed) was lovely, made me feel very at ease and safe as we plodded and chatted. Lovely well cared for horses. My horse (Luna) was very good for me, but apparently can run like the wind for an experienced rider. Many thanks to Helena and all her staff (and horses) for a lovely experience.

My Daughter went for an afternoon beach ride with Mangroovy. On first impressions the stables seems a bit stark compared to the UK as there is no grass, and the entrance to the site was a bit uninviting; but this is Egypt and the desert is close by. We were greeted by Helena, who is a lovely lady. The horses appear well looked after and the stable area was as tidy as stables should be. The ride itself was very good. You should take your passport as this is some times asked for by the Egyptian authorities that patrol the beach. If you like horse riding and are in Sharm this is the place to go.

I had booked a week for myself, partner and nine year old son at the Coral Sea Aqua Club in Sharm el Sheikh.None of the family had ever ridden a horse before, so I emailed Helena at Mangroovy to see if she had any suitable horses for us a beginner's.Helena was easy to communicate with and soon I had booked us in for an hour long ride starting at 8am.On arrival Helena was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Our horses were brought round and we were given the chance to stoke them and make sure that they were comfortable with us.Helena then fitted us with helmets, introduced us to our guides who would accompany us on our hour long trek through the desert and gave us basic instructions on how to control the horses with the reigns. We then set off on our trek. All the guides were very pleasant and conversed with us throughout the trip. I give special thanks to these guys as they are very patient and take the time to make you feel comfortable. They even stopped and took pictures of us using our camera.Upon arriving back at the stables my son was allowed to feed the horses. I've never seen my son smile so much, it was a real pleasure.I can't thank Helena and the staff enough, we had a great morning, so much so that my son would now like to try riding lessons back home the UK.We hope to return on our next visit, thanks, Gary, Elaine, Sam and of course Marcel the monkey, lol.

Booked this trip mainly for our daughter who is a horse rider, my husband, son and I also went along to the sunset beach ride - we are all novice riders. They catered for all our levels and my daughter had her own guide so they could go ahead and enjoy the experience of galloping along the beach and in the water whilst we also had an individual guide who walked with us and ensured we enjoyed the outing just as much. This is a fantastic outing, well organised trip Helena had quick turnaround to any questions when planning trip, organised pick up and drop off, met us with a big smile and showed our daughter round at the end of the ride. The guides were pleasant and friendly and always tried to engage you in conversation and help your confidence. Will be booking again when we return for another holiday.

Helena was extremely helpful in booking, however sadly our ride was marred by the fact that I was put on a very unhappy horse that tried to kick and bite the guide. After 20 years (on and off) of riding it's rare I am on horse that I am at such a loss with. My partner enjoyed his ride, but a 2 hour walk as the horse refused to trot and was rearing up when you asked it to go forward was not what I was hoping for. In all fairness the guides kept saying she has never behaved like that before, but never has any horse I've ridden previously unless I've known about it before hand. Apart from this the horses are well cared for and it seems from the other reviews I just drew a short straw.

I went horseback riding with my grand-daughter. She is extremely concerned about the way in which horses are kept ... and she was very happy with what she saw. After a 2h ride-out, she said "this was the best ride I ever had". Our guide left her a lot of freedom, because she is very good with horses, but was a perfect companion with me (a poor rider), taking my horse on a leash. He did an extremely good job combining her interests as a good rider with my needs as a poor rider.
