Have you ever seen "Out of Africa"? If yes this will be feast for you. This little place is packed with history and guide will tell you so much more about Karen Blixen and her fascinating life. If you didn't, don't worry you will want to watch straight after you are back home. You can visit house (rooms), outside kitchen and you an have look around the ground. This should not take you longer than 2 hours but it is very nice way to spend one interesting afternoon out of hustle and bustle of Nairobi.

I thought too many of the items on exhibit pertained only to the movie "Out of Africa" and not enough emphasis was placed on her life, her exploits and her relationships with the people of Kenya. I'm glad I had read up on Karen Blixen before I went, because I certainly didn't learn much about her from visiting this museum.

An eloquent writer of short stories - everyone know Out of Africa but Babette's Feast is one of her more famous short stories. If you an enthusiast guide, the tour can be good. The house is small but interesting and included some memorabilia from the Out of Africa movie. The grounds were lovely. Interestingly, when we returned from our Safari and were recovering from jet lag, we turned on the TV and Out of Africa was on. We hadn't seen it in years, but did enjoy watching it wafter our tour.

If you're a fan of the rich and famous, then you might enjoy this museum. There isn't much inside the house, and photographs are not permitted. Even the cloths and books are from the movie set "Out of Africa" that were donated to the museum. Nice to visit if you have time in Nairobi and want to do something.

Interesting to have a look into her home, her love of Africa, the men in her life and her love to the Kikuyu-people.Having seen Rungstedlund it was a great experience to see her African home.

Good visit to Karen Blixen house and grounds. Shown round by knowledgeable guide and tour lasted for about 45 minutes and then time to wander around grounds and gift shop. More interesting than I thought it would be. Some costumes on display worn by Meryl Streep and Robert Redford in "Out of Africa". Interesting to see Karen Blixen's paintings and her about the coffee plantation extending to the Ngong Hills.

Visited with 20yo unfortunately did not explain story to her prior to visit. Once there she was fascinated and wanted to know everything so a planned quick visited became very drawn out!! But well worth it..

Lovely to see the house and grounds. Guides take you in small groups through the house and tell you a bit more about Karen Blixen. I enjoyed the visit and there is a fee to enter. Interesting visit and glad I went.

I've always been fascinated by history so I quite enjoyed my trip.Only peeve is that they do not allow photos inside. i was shown around by a knowledgeable free of charge, you're free to tip your guide if you wish to. Apart from the house there is little else to see around, I'd suggest you bundle your trip with the nearby Oloolua Nature Trail.Entry fees are quite affordable for locals, cost me Kshs 200 .

Quite a boring museum which cost 1200 shillings each person, which was the most expensive entrance fee of the day for us. This was our last stop after the elephant orphanage and giraffe house (both of which were amazing and cheaper than the museum). Not exactly sure why the museum cost so much. It pretty much just shows the house and a little about the life of Karen Blixon, and that's pretty much it. Wouldn't waste the time or money on it if I had the choice to do it again.
